Youth Report: My Time At Camp Rainbow
I originally got the chance to go to Camp Rainbow in Cowichan Lake, BC through a sponsorship won by my brother Gabe at the 'Co-ops Mean Business' conference from the CCA-BC Region. I am very grateful for the chance to attend the camp because it was a wonderful learning experience.

Everyday after breakfast, the staff gave workshops on different topics such as self awareness, communication, leadership and co-operation. These sessions were interactive and we learned a lot from them. I came back more aware of myself and how I can affect others.

The counsellors were terrific, always willing to listen and participate in activities with the campers such as playing sports or just talking.

At the camp, I was constantly active and got a lot of exercise outside. The other campers were very friendly due to the amazing atmosphere the counsellors had made for us. This ensured we all enjoyed our time there. They also had excellent activities such as kayaking, swimming and team sports.

I hope to return to the camp with a sponsorship. I think more kids should have this opportunity because, though I might have doubted this, I have come back a changed individual, more confident in myself. The friends I have made and the things I have learned made it all worth while.
