Third Annual Building Co-operative Futures Forum a Success!

Forum held in Saskatchewan.

Over 80 youth from across Canada and abroad attended the conference this spring, hosted by the Saskatchewan Co-operative Association and the Centre for Study of Co-operatives. Held at the University of Saskatchewan, the conference focused on youth engagement in co-operative organizations and encouragment through education and community-centred participation. This year was another resounding success! Ian MacPherson made a presentation challenging those in attendance to take a broad approach to co-operation and to think carefully about how co-operative strategies and organisations could enrich their lives, economically and socially. The Co-operative College is hosting the 2006 conference in Manchester, England. Check the Youth Zone for a 2005 conference wrap-up report and for information about next year’s conference.
